LookSuite

Present, stream, and record with a polished virtual presence.

01

Overview

LookSuite is a TypeScript platform that pairs a cross-platform desktop application for video conferencing, streaming, recording, and content creation with the cloud services that support it. As a Senior Software Engineer, I work across product and platform concerns to help deliver a reliable virtual-presence experience.

Achievements

  1. 01

    Platform architecture

Architected the end-to-end Electron, React, and Node.js platform and its supporting data, authentication, real-time media, and cloud-service architecture.

  2. 02

    Adaptive video pipeline

Designed an adaptive CPU/GPU video-processing architecture with runtime capability detection and a multi-worker execution model targeting a 16 ms real-time frame budget.

  3. 03

    Pull-request quality gate

Built automated pull-request quality and performance validation, including API load testing, application tests, and video-pipeline telemetry comparison against the main branch.

  4. 04

    Infrastructure as code

Established Terraform-managed infrastructure and Docker-based service workflows to support consistent development and production delivery.

  5. 05

    Role-based access control

Implemented Role Based Access Control (RBAC) to enforce precise user permissions, dynamically allowing or restricting actions and features based on user roles.

Pull-request checks and merge gate

Pull-request checks and merge gateGitHub Actions runs grouped checks in parallel on every pull request: builds, tests, static analysis, secret detection, guard checks and performance checks. A merge gate lets the pull request merge only if the required checks pass. The performance check runs the video pipeline for the pull request, compares its telemetry with main, and produces a summary.Runs on every pull requestChecks run in parallelInside the performance checkBlocked: fix and push againActionsGitHubBuilds4 checksTestsUnit, StorybookAnalysis6 checksSecuritySecret scanGuards4 checksPerformanceVideo, API loadMerge gateRequired checksMergeAllowedPR buildTelemetryComparePR against mainMain branchBaselineSummaryPerf vs main

Every pull request starts GitHub Actions, which runs the checks in parallel: builds, tests, static analysis for each part of the repo, secret detection, guard checks and the performance checks. If the required checks pass, the pull request can merge.
